Hmmm maybe not

38 Weeks - went to the museum yesterday
I have been 3 cm since Tuesday and thinking he is going to pop out at any moment. But now I am thinking he is not going to be here early. He is having way too much fun in there - watching DVDs, as Gary would say. I don't mind too much, except that its getting harder to get into a comfortable position, and my feet are getting tired! But I was dancing around and doing yoga last night, so I guess it can't be that bad. The biggest problem is that I ran out of clothes that fit!!!!! I keep wearing the same 2 shirts. Its pretty good that I made it all this time with only buying like 3 maternity shirts and one pair of maternity pants. Good thing empire waist shirts are in style and yay for stretchy skirts from Old Navy, and sweats. Pretty much only Scott's clothes fit me now!!!! I have to wear his jacket because none of mine can zip up! But I refuse to spend money on maternity clothes!!! I would much rather buy cute clothes after the baby comes out.
Oh ya, we went on a tour of the hospital. It was kind of scary at first, but then I got used to it, so that was a good idea. The car has been packed with our bags and the car seat for awhile now. All we have to do is wait! This is sooo suspenseful.

Maybe sooner than we thought??

So we are still making progress. 2.5 cm and 90% now. The doctor was like, "Maybe he'll be here by Christmas!" And when I was leaving she said, "See you next week, if not sooner!" haha But she is not making any guesses or promises.....so who knows!! It is so suspenseful lol =) We haven't bought any diapers yet! Aaaaah!!!

Time is Really Flying

Wow, time has been going by faster and faster the closer it gets to my due date. I am officially due in exactly 4 weeks (Jan. 8), possibly a little earlier according to my first ultrasound. I had my doctor's appointment Tuesday - I now have weekly appointments - and it was pretty exciting because we talked about when to call and when to go to the hospital. I am 1.5 cm and 70% effaced, which I think is pretty cool because it means my body is starting to do what it is supposed to! Maybe the spicy Indian food is already working! The baby has been head down for about 3 months now so that is great and he is facing towards my right side, which is why I am constantly getting kicked in my side. Also, he is down low - his head is at 0 station, so he is getting ready! That's why I am always feeling pressure on my bladder - Yay for going to the bathroom every 1 or 2 hours at night! The doctor said there would be nothing to worry about if he's here early, but she is guessing he will be a January baby. I am still hoping for Dec. 31 so we will have a little new year's present!

Scott and I are doing a good job of getting prepared for baby Ethan! We finished all of our classes - childbirth, baby care, baby safety, and breastfeeding. The nursery is ready to go and looks cute! I will take some pictures soon for everyone to see. I have all of his clothes/towels/sheets washed and put away thanks to help from my mom (since our dryer is broken!). And we are so thankful for all of the wonderful gifts we got from everyone, otherwise we would definitely not have all the things he needs. We would have never imagined how much stuff is needed to take care of a baby! Our little house is becoming taken over by strollers, swings, pack n play, etc., etc.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoyed spending the week with Melissa and Gary from London and lots of friends and family, including my Aunt Kathy who was also visiting. We had 2 great baby showers! I am trying to get pictures from everyone so I can post them. We are so excited for the upcoming holidays and the anticipation of Ethan's arrival! After the new year, Mel and Gary will be coming back to meet our baby boy (for 2 weeks I think) and Ethan will also get to meet his Grandma from Taiwan who will be here for a few weeks.

There are so many things to be excited and thankful for!

October 29th Ultrasound

These are the most recent ultrasound pics of baby Ethan that were taken on Oct. 29th when he was exactly 30 weeks. It was so much fun! Scott, my mom and dad, and Amy were all there. For awhile, he had his hand over his face so we couldn't see his cute face, but then Daddy asked him to move it and he listened! What a good boy. It was fun watching all his movements, especially seeing him yawn. He was all snuggled up with his head laying on his arm and looked very content. I think he has a personality already, he smiled and even made an Elvis face! It was pretty awesome to see. I really think he has his dad's nose already, but my family thinks he also has my chubby cheeks! I guess we will have to wait and see! Anyway...we got a ton of pictures so here are just a few of them.

Less than 8 weeks to go! Whoooaaaa

We are getting SO incredibly excited. I can't believe the baby will be here in less than 8 weeks! I really hope he is here about a week early. That would be so perfect! Then Scott will still be on his winter break, and my mom too. Little Ethan is getting so big already, I don't know how he is going to fit in here until Jan. 8! He is moving around so much, I think he is trying to get out! It is fun watching and feeling him roll around, and see different parts sticking out. Scott and I just can't wait till he is here so we can hold him!! Here are some belly pics since last time, up to the most recent one I have. We need to take some more photos.

Alaska Cruise

We know...we are way overdue for an update! Well, August 23-30 we went on an Alaska cruise. This was such an amazing experience, I highly recommend that everyone experiences this at some time in their life. You hear about how wonderful it is to see the glaciers, but you really have to be there to see and hear them in order to really experience it. On our trip we went to Seattle, Juneau, Sitka, Ketchikan, and Victoria, B.C. Our favorite town in Alaska was Sitka. It was really cute with wonderful scenery. We were pretty lucky with the weather. It was cold and rainy in Juneau, but it was pretty nice in Sitka and Ketchikan. In Ketchikan we were lucky enough to be there on one of the few days it does not rain each year. Seattle was awesone, we only had about an hour there and would like to go back. Victoria was also a really nice city that we want to go back to, you should definitely visit it. Our favorite part of the trip by far was going to Hubbard Glacier, which is the biggest glacier in North America and the only one that is advancing. We got up pretty close to it in the ship and got to hear the crackling sounds and see the calving ice. Our other favorites were seeing a black bear by the creek at the Mendenhall Glacier in Juneau, and whale watching from our ship. It was great talking to people and learning about the different cultures in the area. The only bad part was that we felt kind of sick a couple of days on the ship when the water was rough, and the food wasn't too great. But it was awesome waking up each morning in a new city and spending the day outside walking around, seeing all the sites. It was so wonderful seeing all the beautiful scenery and wildlife, which was the main reason for the trip, so we are so happy and grateful that we were able to do it. Especially since it was our last big trip alone as a couple! Here are a few pictures:

Our garden

I am in love with our rose garden!!! I just need to add some lavender and yellow roses.

Look at me!!

Here is a profile of our little baby boy! He is growing strong. Scott and Aunt Amy came to the ultrasound!!!! This is probably the last glimpse of the little guy before he makes his appearance.

Almost half way there!

The baby went in the ocean for the first time!! haha We are at Newport Beach. I had an ultrasound this morning and the baby is measuring at about 19 weeks, 5 days with a due date of December 31! We are hoping for a 2008 baby! But the doctor is sticking with the Jan. 8 due date. The baby is 12 ounces and I have gained 5 pounds so far.

18.5 weeks. You can see a glimpse of our new floors!

About 18 weeks.

Belly Pictures - By Request

16 weeks, 123 lbs. It seems like overnight my tummy is HUGE! It is bigger in person. Are you sure it is not twins in there? It is getting bigger by the minute. During the week a stranger touched my belly!! Can you believe that?

15 weeks, 122 lbs.
I woke up with a birthday surprise this morning - a nice round belly. I don't know if you can tell that much in the picture. I am starting to understand the meaning of "eating for 2."

14 weeks, 121 lbs. You can see a difference now! I am definitely getting my appetite back. My pants are getting a little tight.

13 weeks, 121 lbs. I think I just ate a big meal! My belly gets really big after I eat but is usually gone by the morning. The baby was moving around SO much in the ultrasound this week, but I can't feel anything yet! And its really early, but it's a BOY!!

12 weeks, 120 lbs

8 weeks, 118 lbs. Not feeling sick anymore, but I am so hungry all the time and everything looks disgusting to me!

6 weeks, 118 lbs. Awful morning sickness that lasted ALL day! This week I couldn't understand why anybody would want to get pregnant!! Blehhh

4 weeks, 120 lbs. I hope it looks like this again!!

By request, here are some picture of my quickly-growing belly. It is changing so fast!
